Success indicator
Dog stays in heel through directional changes.
180, 90, and 360
How we teach it
- Left: This is meant to be a more 'disruptive' turn into your dog in order to quickly divert their focus while you change direction.
- Right: This is meant to be a more 'encouraging' turn that can be utilized to get your dog's energy picked up while you change direction.
- 180 Degree: 'U-turn', complete change in direction
- 90 Degree: Sharp turn Left - into your dog, or Right - away from your dog
- 360 Degree: Slower circle turn to proceed in the same direction
Practice at home
- Be patient and consistent with your training. It takes time and patience to teach a dog a new command.
- Take Photos or Videos: Capturing your progress back at home or outside will help us provide additional feedback.
Go deeper
A left turn is a command that tells your dog to turn 180 degrees to the left. It is a useful command for getting your dog's attention and teaching them to concede space to you.
